Nikos GOGONAS

Nikos Gogonas is associate lecturer in Intercultural Communication and Language Education at the Faculty of English Language and Literature, University of Athens. He is also a tutor at the Hellenic Open University at the MA programme “Language Education for Refugees and Migrants”. He holds a BA in English, (University of Athens). MA in TEFL (University of Reading, UK) and DPhil in Linguistics (University of Sussex, UK). He has several years’ teaching experience with migrant and refugee children in secondary education. He has taught undergraduate courses on Bilingualism and Intercultural Education at the Universities of Athens and Thessally as well as at Master’s programmes in HOU (Intercultural Approaches to the Teaching of English) and at the University of Luxembourg (Teaching and Learning in Multilingual and Multicultural Contexts). He has published the monograph Bilingualism and Multiculturalism in Greek Education (Cambridge Scholars) and several articles in international journals such as : Journal of Multliingual and Multicultural Development, International Journal of Bilingual Education and Bilingualism and Multilingua.
